Getting Your Kicks From Chicago To Santa Monica.

In 1926, what became known as The Mother Road, and America’s Main Street, was commissioned, and started a new trend, and desire for Americans to travel. Route 66 became the first cross-country road that opened up this new opportunity to explore America. It was comprised of different roads through 8 states, and covered 2441 miles from Chicago to Santa Monica. Motor courts, gas stations, and diners popped up everywhere. Neon signs beaconed travelers to stop and eat, as well as stay the night in places that few had seen.  This was the beginning of a new era in tourism. And it grew exponentially for the next several decades. It was time to see America. Route 66 wasn’t just a journey…it was the destination.

2026 will be the 100th anniversary of America’s Main Street, and it’s now time to introduce it to a new generation. Time to experience history. Let the journey begin.
